Why a magazine? Jeerige Lokesh wanted honesnty in everything. And it was Gandhian ideal. So he wanted to focus on spreading Gandhian thoughts to the youth. The intention was to reach our younger generation the practical aspects of Gandhian Philosophy. He wanted our young men and women try to understand Gandhian ideas . Then they will know the practical aspects. And through this honesty in life can be cultivated. He is sad that honesty is taking back seat and corruption is taking upper hand. So he thought a magazine from the Gandhi Bhavan environment may fulfill his thoughts. The result is the Amara Baapu Chintana.

Jeerige Lokesh is the Editor and Publisher of the journal Amara Baapu Chintana. It was his idea to start a magazine to spread Gandhian thought. He is a social worker rendering service in the field of education, health, culture, co operative movement etc. He was secretary at Bangalore Education Soceity, Trustee and coordinator at Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi Trust, vice president for Prakruthi Jeevana Kendra, Trustee for Vallabaniketana and Vishvaneedam Trust. He was member of National Executive committee, CAPART, Government of India. Currently he is the Past president of Gandhi Peace Foundation. Currently he is CEO for Nandi Vahini Production House
Though not after any position, he was on the threshold of getting some or the other constitutional posts. But destity played the spoiled sport. Anyway, he was not disappointed and continued his services.
Jeerige Lokesh is contributing his “tanu, mana and dhana “ in bringing out the magazine. What he expects? Support of the people in general and readers in particular in this endeavour. A word of mouth, an appreciation and magazine in the reading rooms of schools and colleges are wished. Is this a big expectation?
